Have had this car for over a year now and while I am now needing to put some money into it it has served me very well and I am very satisfied with this purchase.

It has been reliable and has put up with the way I drive which can be tough at times.

I bought this car brand new. I drive a lot, have 200,000 Km. Have very few complaints. It's really good on gas and for a small car, there's lots of room. It's also very sporty. Some people think it's a coupe or sports car.

Car reasonably priced and very reliable. Only requires basic maintenance and it is 6 years old! I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for an affordable car.

Excellent Hyundai service. No hassle repairs on even the minor issues. Heated seats, front & rear are a real advantage in Winnipeg winter.

I got my 2012 Elantra brand new and put around 55000 kms on it over 4 years.
The car has been nothing but problems so far and now I have only 6 months of warranty left - I am horrified.
Here is what broke down since day one:
The exhaust pipe had to be replaced since it was touching something and was constantly rattling
Three engine coils went at different times. Apparently software update during replacement of the third one fixed the issue.
3.5 year into the life of the car, backup camera broke and since electronics warranty lasts only three years - dealership wants NINE HUNDRED dollars to replace it.
And today check engine light came on again and car started violently shaking. Transmission temperature sensor had to be replaced.
One of the key fobs stopped working and replacing the battery did not revive it. Of course it is not covered either.
I feel that I spent more time in dealership then driving.
In addition, the metal of the body is so thin, that two dents went right through it and now I have holes in the door.
Please avoid guys, there is better cars out there.

Ultra Reliable vehicle, Great Gas Mileage. I get under 6.5/L 100Km combined. Was Consumer's Car of the year for 2012, and I can see why. Car is peppy but your not going to win many races except to see who goes the furthest on a tank of gas. I bought a 2014 Santa Fe, This is our 4th Hyundai. I will not go back to Mercedes or Toyota again.

This car is a joy to drive, rides smoothly and is very economical (eco button). I love having the car starter and the heated seats have been very much appreciated this winter. I have had no mechanical problems. Having 24 hour roadside assistance gives me peace of mind even though I have had no need for it. The extended warranty is up to 120 km or 80 months.

A great car for both city and highway driving. Fun and responsive yet great on gas. Drive it and fall in love!

It's very comfortable , Soft driving , Good vision , No sound , No blind spot , Very good accelerate

The Good: The interior and exterior styling is great. Fuel economy is fantastic and overall handling is resposive and stable. The entertainment features are good with occasional connectivity problems with my Android phone.

The Not So Good: I find the swept A-pillar design creates a rather large blind spot. I have had a few close calls with pedestrians and other vehicles. This is somewhat exacerbated by the window visors I had installed - They look good but can't say I would recommend them for visibility reasons.

At first I found the electric power assist steering a bit of an issue in windy conditions at highway speeds and had to constantly make steering corrections as the car seemed to track erratically but now I don't notice it.

My steering wheel leatherette peeled but Hyundai was quick to acknowledge the problem and replaced the steering wheel promptly. The outer strip of my passenger seat material sagged a bit causing a fold in the fabric - not a real big issue.

Overall, considering the quality of engineering, fit and finish - I did a LOT of research and comparing different manufacturers and models - I would definitely recommend this vehicle to those seeking reliable, stylish and inexpensive transportation.

I have had this car for over 3 months. I like the exterior look of the car which gives a sports car feel, and the accelerate is pretty decent. But I won't recommend this car because this car is not fuel efficient, I have to refuel every 3 days literally, I kept the fuel gauage at about 1/4 to 1/2 full, and I only drive about 40 minutes per day in city limit. The engine is pretty noisy and I noticed it when I try to go from stall to city limit.

This car wasn't a purchase made my be, to be honest. My husband was the one who made the decision to purchase this car. I didn't even know until he gave me the keys to this car on my birthday. Surprised, i was a bit nervous to test the car. But once i got in the car, i found it surprisingly comfortable. Even more comfortable than the first car i owned, which was also a gift from my parents. Ever since then, i like driving this car around town, wherever i go. Even though my husband has a separate car, and i also have the keys to that, i love my car and drive it instead of his. Sometimes my husband jokes that i love the car more than i love him. Luckily, he was the one who gave me the car!

its not so expensive and comfortable and also smooth ride and i think hyundai have good a/s services available and also they make good quality cars so i had good experience with this car

In these tough economic times fuel efficiency is important. The Elantra provides this while style having style. Leg room in the front and back are great even when we are 4 tall people of 6' or more. Pick up is quite good for a 4 cylinder vehicule. It is affordabily priced and car serve a family as well as a bachelor heading out on the town. Trunk space is surprisingly big and the 60/40 split lets you haul some bigger items. I can see how this car won Car of the Year

It's a smooth ride, has a surprisingly roomy interior, and pretty good fuel economy. Very reliable - love this car!

It was a good car. Initial impressions were positive. The Elantra is relatively quiet, felt at ease on the highway, and never left me wanting for more power. The interior is well laid-out, has plenty of room, all the controls are simple and intuitive to use, and it packs tons of features like heated seats and a backup camera we'd expect in the midsize Sonata.

I'm selling my 2012 Hyundai Elantra GL. I've loved having it but I've got a company car on the way and have no need for two. I've had it since October 2011 and it has 37,900 kms. I've kept it very clean, kept up with maintenance, and in great condition.

this is by far the best car ive ever owned...its spacious, comfortable and wicked on gas..one of my favorite things about this car are all the controls are easy to access and i love the heated seat for those chilly mornings

This car is very nice and has excellent fuel economy. It is a very nice and good car to use for an everyday car. My family and I really like it, and the price of this car is very nice and decent. The performance and power of this car was better then I expected for the price, it has a super strong horse power engine for a family car or a company car. The exterior design is very hot and sexy. when I got my car, my friends all said "WOW that's awesome" and I told them the price and they were amazed, like totally "AMAZED. Overall, I think this is a very unique and stylish car to use for work, vacation, playing, or for driving your family in.

Purchased my first new car in 20 years, a brand-new 2012 Elantra. A sleek exterior design comparable to that of the most highly decorated brands in the world, a solid fuel economy comparable to others within its class and an overall solid car within the $20-25,000 range. The beautiful interior continues to wow me even after 10 months of ownership.
