Honda Fit 2007Change

This is my daughter's car, but I'm doing the (very little) maintenance and I have driven it a couple of times.
I'm straining to think of a bad thing to say about this peppy little runabout. I guess the HP is average for its class so some may complain about this, but they really shouldn't because this is a sub-compact and it still feels quick on its feet. Looks are also a bit quirky - a Japanese version of cute, but this can also be a plus for some.
It's a pleasure to drive, so nimble in city traffic that it reduces the stress, it's more spacious inside than many larger vehicles. At 11 years of age when many other vehicles are retiring or already retired, this one still looks and works great. Never had any mechanical issues with it, no rattles or major rusting. This is the definition of a well made car.

I loved my 2007 Honda Fit the entire 10 years that I owned it. I never had a single problem with the car until I was 9 years in and I had to get the coils replaced. Considering it's age, that seemed lucky! But all I heard from fellow Fit drivers was how much they loved theirs too. I'd highly recommend this car--the only reason I left it behind was so that I could buy the 2017 model!

The other reviews have expressed the very valid good and bad points about this car but here is another consideration for would be buyers.
The very smart magic seat is great for carrying different sizes of cargo but the gas tank is moved forward making this car tail light. The net effect is that the rear end has less grip in snow / rain. This weight distribution also make the rear end more jumpy than say a versa or the old civic hatch.
May be a good idea to try being passenger in the back during a test drive to be sure this is the right car for you,

Another short coming which seems to be common among honda then is the panel gap seems to collect water and rust more than other cars.

As a commuter vehicle the Fit has been great. Not the smoothest of rides but, great for getting to work and back. Biggest disappointment Fits have a design flaw with the body. Fits of various years have leaks either in rear storage area or doors leak into rear floor boards. Mine was five years old and developed a leak into the rear as a result of a crack in the roof seem. Now the car is leaking into the rear floor boards. When I brought the issue to Honda Canada five years ago and now present day I didn't get very far. Clearly this is a on going issue with the Fits and Honda Canada needs to address it.

Best car I ever owned, only catch is low ground clearance and the fuel economy should be about 1 litre per 100/km better considering it has an ultra modern 5 speed auto and a 1.5L engine. Probably these problems are compromises because the car is designed to be very sporty. Don't think twice about buying this car if everything ok maintenance wise.

I have loved my Fit. It is amazingly spacious for a hatchback (in 2010 when I bought it i test drive a number of hatchbacks and this was by far the most comfortable - front and back seats), amazing on gas - I pay half what my coworker pays and really fun to drive. it could have a bit more pep going up hills but I knew that going in and with a manual transmission I am able to add a little extra power. I drove to San Fransisco and back in this car and it was reliable and has a great sound system. The chairs recline and go up in so many ways that I can carry more in this car than many trucks. I like the think that the headlights make it look like it is smiling. Seriously an amazing car!

For a smaller car, this auto is very comfortable and has an extremely roomy interior. Taller people have ridden in comfort, and the cargo space is fantastic. We have transported furniture, a12' canopy, etc. with no problem. Fuel economy is great! It is easy to drive and to park.

Have a lot of fun to drive it!
You will love the magic seats and the versatility of this car.
Orange color is very RARE in stock. Get it right away.
Engine power is very good, climbing mountains is a piece of cake.
Tires are relevantly new which has 90% left.

I have loved this 2007 Honda Fit.
I've owned it for about 3 years and it's been a super car.
I use it for everything! The versatility is spectacular. You can squeeze so much into this little thing.

This car has been a dream!. It has excellent handling in winter driving, good traction and is very peppy! Although it looks small from the outside it is so spacious .. last year it even "fit" my 7-foot Christmas tree - inside the car! :) Passengers are always surprised by the room and comfort of this car. It's never given me ANY problems. I changed the brakes about a year ago, and other than this + regular maintenance, I haven't had a hitch. Best bang for my buck ever!

this honda fit is my second car, it is in black color with 17" wheel alloy, looks very good. and its performace is also remarkable with 7 level transmission. This Honda FIT is a good car.

My experience with the Honda Fit has been a positive one. Not only is the Honda Fit reliable, but is also a great alternative to larger models. The car is spacious considering its small size and perfect for animal transportation ie. dogs and their equipment for a weekend agility trial. The seat functionality accommodates well with my lifestyle and as previously mentioned. Good handling and a peppy engine, but could use more power on the faster highways, especially uphill.

The Fit is cute and compact. More trunk room than you would expect from a small car. Very fuel efficient as well.

We've had this car for seven years now, and have never had any issues with it. It has been reliable, convenient, and comfortable. The seating and interior space is incredibly versatile, and we've used it for everything from moving house to our every day family vehicle.

I bought this car when I travelled abroad and when they came to Canada, I bought one! I never regretted it, it never broke down, it never failed to start and it was always a blast to drive! It is over-engineered, with a rock solid drivetrain. It has an excellent automatic transmission but lacks a bit of power but is zippy. It can swallow large items without issue and with the fold flat rear seats, it's almost a full station wagon.

I will miss my car but I must move it on at this point. I have a new car now.

I'm really pleased with my car. I purchased it used in 2010 from a Honda dealership, re-certified with 38,000km. I used to have a 1995 Toyota Tercel, so I immediately noticed the increase in power and response of the Honda Fit. Very worth the extra cost in dimished fuel efficiency, I think. The other factor that contributes to my satisfaction with this car is the huge amount of interior space and versatility of putting the back seats up or down. Shortly after purchasing this car, I was able to transport an Ikea queen size bed frame by folding down the back seats and passenger seat. That easily saved me $50 in shipping/moving charges.

This by far is the best car I have ever owned $ for $ quite possibly the best value

Roomy, dependable, great cargo space. The only problem I experience is that for my extremely long communte >1.5 hrs each way --- it is not quite as comfortable as my old Volvo S70, but then, nothing really is, especially at this price point.

We have had the Honda Fit since 2006. It is very roomy inside and with the different seat configurations you can carry a lot of stuff in it and we have. It is quite comfortable and quiet. It is a great car on the road and very reliable.

The 2007 Honda Fit is a geat car to drive - peppy, responsive, sure footed, and fun. The ride was much smoother than some of the other small cars we tried out. Yet it was also very econimical. We averaged about 6.5L/100km in the summer and 8.5L/100km in the winter and had no mechanical troubles with the car in the 6 years we owned it. There were a number of recalls, though, for minor issues. Though small, the car was quite versitile, with a hatch that easily held our weekly grocercies or double stroller. It also had the magic seats, which allowed me to bring home some 4' cedars in it no problem. My chief complaint was a short 5th gear, which made for a buzzy 3000 rpm at 100 km/h.

I use my Fit primarily in urban areas and not for long distance travel. I bought it for its versatile cargo loading configurations and flat floor when rear seats are lowered. It delivers in that regard.

The engine and automatic transmission perform well in urban condition. The engine does NOT have adequate power for highway conditions.

The controls are logically arranged and easy to operate. The steering wheel can be adjusted up and down only. It is too close to the dashboard and therefore I have to have the driver's seat closer to the front than I would like making the seating position uncomfortable after about 30 minutes' driving.

Quick,tight steering;zippy little motor - great for city driving and easy to drive on the highway. The storage capacity is amazing with the rear seats down flat-close to 40" of height with enough room for two mountain bikes standing upright. A bit weak on the technology side of things compared to current car models but adequate for most owners.
