Have had no issues with my Dakota. It has never let me down. The 4x4 works great in the snow. The 4.7 l engine has more than enough power for this truck.

Never had any real problems with this truck. Had to replace very minor things such as a oil gauge switch and refrigeration line. Truck never broke down on me, and made it from Edmonton to Kitchener without any problems at all. I would suggest a Dakota for some one looking for towing smaller trailers or other things in the bed. The only reason I got rid of this vehicle was because of the deal I got on the Ram I purchased. Great truck and I will miss it.

i have not had a problem with this truck yet and ive drove it across canada a few times. except the heater blower caught on fire and melted . now its rigged up to just run full blast or nothing

2002 Dodge Dakota - A Key Player in the Canadian Light-Truck Market.The Dakota is much like the Durango SUV inside with a car-like instrument cluster, comfortable bucket seats and fairly good quality materials throughout. My Dakota has 100,000 kilometers (Nov/2012), and I've never had ANY problems with this truck. It runs like a top, and at 90km/h on cruise with A/C I get 27mpg on the highway with the 4.7 Liter V8. I picked up a SuperChip for it an now get up to 30mpg. I may need to replace the fuel pump this winter, but aside of that, it's comfortable, seats 6 (max), pulls a dual axle enclosed trailer and I love it. Favorite vehicle I've owned of the 9 I've had!

This truck provides the best of both worlds. The interior is so roomy it is just like driving a car. The while family fits with lots of room to spare. On the other hand, the box and four wheel drive offer a great truck experience. The engine is powerful but easy on gas. This truck is perfect for a family.

Let me just say that I still miss this truck.

I had to sell it when I did but I REALLY LOVED that truck.

The V8 engine, transfer case and transmission had been designed together and you could tell they indeed worked well together.

It was the right size and the Quad cab also made it a family friendly truck.

I loved everything about it and the sport package made it look like a full size truck.

Every time I see one on the road I start thinking about buying one again.
