Overall it's a great car with great looks.
It seat is quite comfortable and roomy back seat for passengers is nice. It would have been better if trunk is a bit bigger but it is big enough to store daily groceries.
The car has v6 engine and all wheel drive. It runs smoothly and cornering is quite good but a bit heavy on gas and premium gas is recommended but not required.
Exterior design personally thinking is exceptional doesn't look that old compare to modern cars considering it's from 2001.
Reliability, I think it is overall reliable car, solid engine and sturdy build. However, when time comes and you have to change failed parts, it will be costly so watch out for that.

Considering the year of the car, one would expect a slow and boring performance, but once you drive it in the highway and give her a push on the pedal, it would surprise you!

Car has served my wife well for 12 years. Hardly winter driven but has a set of winter tires. Great for city and highway driving. Handles solid and good power.

I love the lines on this car, they have a classic flow, that older ones do not and the newer ones can't match (but they are growing on me). The car accelerated like a bat out of ... I have had no major repairs needed. I have enjoyed the car

This car has been with me for many years but park for newer cars. I drive a high end lexus now but with all honesty it can not drive like the beemer... I have never driven a car that handles with grace and power like this BMW. Perfect size and rides perfectly firm. Transmission and braking are unmatched period.

I would recommend this model to anyone.
She is a bit older now but a great vehicle for several more years to come.

Have really enjoyed this car. Great engine. BMW quality. Used by my wife and me for fun - drives in the country, to the lake etc. and garaged in winter, but could easily be driven through the winter.

The car is amazing and reliable, it is very fuel efficient and has a triptronic option. It is very clean and has a very powerful engine, It is in perfect condition and runs great. The car comes with E- test and Safety.

It's very confident in this car with excellent engine performance! Drive gently! It is fun to drive on the street during the weekend!

I love driving this car. We are the original owners and it has been dealer serviced. The interior is in great shape for a 2001 vehicle. The exterior has a couple of small dents but nothing too noticeable. Comes two sets of tires ... all season Michelin and Bridgestone Blizzacks.

This car has been such a pleasure driving. During the summer obviously would be my favourite, as i can always drive with the sunroof retracted. Even in the winter(weather permitted) I will drive with it open and blast the heat...life is good.
Sadly I am moving away and have to say goodbye.

I bought this model new in 2001 and have had great times with it ever since, the only repairs ive done in 12 years were the breaks. Its built solid and youll really enjoy it. However, i recommend you have another vehicle for the winter months as this rear wheel drive car is almost impossible to drive on snow.

My car has been a blast to drive! Handles really well and engine is smooth and powerful. It's not the cheapest car to keep maintained, and there are so many sensors, some are bound to go eventually, but they are all there for a reason.
Issues that came up are ripped seat fabric along the side bolster, new alternator, leaky valve cover gasket, degraded plastic clips for kidney grille.

It's all worth it though.

We have had this car since new and have put on 190,000 Kms...it runs like the day we bought it...other than routine maintenance and replacement of worn parts this has been a very economical car to own for the last 10 years...the car still looks new (in and out) and you would not now it is a 10 year old design...the 330i was only offered for a few years and has M like performance...we highly recommend it especially as a second car...fun and practicality in one...

I've had this car now for 7 months, only put 6000kms on it so far
plus the 240000 it already had. Runs smooth and strong, no issues except an oil leak that cost $250 to fix. The car handles really well, will be even better once I put summer tires on it.
Fuel economy is about 12ltr/100kms - 24mpg if you are old school - in city driving, haven't done a highway trip yet but should be well under 10ltr/100kms. This is the nicest car I've ever owned, smooth, strong, quiet, luxurious by my standards and economical too. And the style looks better to me than a new 3 series, inside and out.

I absolutely love this ride. It is smooth and drives well. The gas is great on me and I've had no problems with this car whats so ever. The exterior design is created so nicely. Its a beast overall!

4 door with plenty of room for passengers and storage. Its a smooth ride and efficient on gas. While the only issue I have is in the winter as it definitely needs now tires. Otherwise this is a great car to own.

for an older car this still drives amazing and has all the extras like heated seats, amazing sound system.
it has done over 250 000 km and has caused us minimal problems.

By far the best looking model year of the BMW 3 series. The BMW convertible adds an amazing touch to the already superb 3 series platform. the power-folding soft top is probably one of the best features of this vehicle as it looks nice when up but folds away in under 25 seconds. The interior of the top is also very pleasant to look at with its black cloth and unique "bat wings" to help hide all of the mechanical goodness that makes the top go up and down.

My 330xi is far one of the best cars i' have ever had...if not the best (i had over 80+ cars so far).
I have replaced some original parts with performance parts such as: brakes, cold air intake, exhaust, etc.
BMWs are meant to be driven.
I can go on however the most important item that needs to be clearly understood is maintenance is the most important. I am not talking about being in the shop every month, just basic maintenance. Why? because my car has 418,000 kms and it's been lapped around Mosport 8 different times....original motor and transmission. Think about that!

I've had this car for a year and I've put 50k on it from 105k when I bought it. I drive to Blue Mountain every weekend in the winter and the traction control on this car is amazing going up the steep hill on Airport road.

$80 to fill the tank and I'll squeeze 700km with a light foot or 600 with a heavy foot.

Keep an eye on the oil levels, driving this car hard causes it to burn oil. Common on all european cars.

Bought this car and it had a rebuild status out of Ontario - two red flags.

THE BAD: a day after I bought this car, the check engine light came on. The (fill in the blank) sold me the car must have reset the check engine light when he was showing it to me. Not a big deal, just the exhaust camshaft sensor. Idles fine, as opposed to what is said in the forums, knock wood.

Xenon light stopped working. Don't know how that was hidden in the onboard diagnostics. Replaced the ballast, light worked for a while, now it works rarely.

SUNROOF works, but has its own logic to operating aka malfunctioning. Got it figured, but after taking it to the shop for diagnosis, motor needs to be replaced.

NEXT - leg room vent flap wouldn't open. Diagnosis: motor or actuator. Mechanic says $1200 to repair as the whole dash needs to come out.

RADIO has static when I turn on the Rear Defrost.

THINGS I DON'T LIKE THAT WORK: little trunk space, back seats don't fold down, (supposedly) premium fuel only, guzzles back the gas in city driving and >91 Octane is not cheap.

THE GOOD: super fun to drive. Handles great, seat heaters, great for long drives (great fuel economy on the highway), great in the snow with the Direct Stability Control system (with snow tires of course), braking system is wicked, electronic memory driver's seat.

Just like any vehicle, it's great when it works. I've had it for about 9 months now, and luckily nothing new has creeped up, just a slow, pricey, work in progress.

great car! amazing handling and speed! would always buy the same car! accelerates very well. for the people who like speed over comfort this is the car to get! automatic or manual is the same! looks like an m3 as well. Would never buy another car other than bmw. parts are a bit pricey... but at the end of the day its worth it!
