Review of the 2004 Toyota Tacoma

A capable compact pickup with a variety of body styles and a strong reputation for reliability. Value is in question, however, as a short standard equipment list makes it easy to spend a bundle on options.

Bought this truck because it's a Toyota. Reliable, good on fuel it is not. Have had more problems with this truck than with my 97 F-150 which had 420000 km on it. Comfort it is not. Every bump and dip in the road is felt right through your spine. Clock is hidden behind the steering wheel and can't be seen unless you crank your head around. Not a very well thought out truck considering it was the last year for this body style.
