FORMER RED PAINTED DROP-LEAF table from 1930''s. Table is made of solid wood and has all original hinges and braces. Table has been stripped of red paint, stained with light oak color, and clear-coated for a super tough finish. A touch of the red paint remains in the grooves of wood for a wonderfully rustic appearance. The legs are very sturdy, nice turned finish. The original wooden slats pull out to hold up the serpentine leaves, with a wooden wedge attached to bottom of leaf keep it at the height desired. OPERA-STYLE FOLDING 2-SEAT CHURCH balcony pew c1906. Straight from a Southern Manitoba Historic Church building, the pew is in completely original condition. Nice set of "X" curved legs, with two stretchers running along the bottom front and back for lots of support. Back board of hymn book holder has what appears to be very old, hand sawn wood, which was never stained or finished with anything, but has been worn smooth and soft from years of use. Pew measures approximately 36" long, 33" high, the bottom spread of the legs is about 20" with the seat being 15" deep (centered over open legs, so overall depth is approx. 24") This pew is movable and does not need to be anchored for use. It folds up for easy storage, with each of the 2 seats folding up individually as well for when you need a bit more room. This rare and unique pew is very sturdy and comfortable, and is very functional for everyday use or for when extra seating is needed.. A piece of Manitoba history that is truly a conversation piece! VINTAGE/ANTIQUE JELLY CUPBOARD 41.5" Tall, 16" Wide, 8.5" Deep, Top with bevelled wood edge measures 10 3/8" deep. The shelves all measure 7" deep inside, except for the bottom which is 7.5" deep. (This is because of the little handcut wooden 'lip' that is set in front of the shelves, I guess to make sure nothing falls out when the doors are opened!) There is a double door with original Bakelite black handle with gold stripe detail. I did change the hinges to an 'antique replica' hinge to match handles, however, the original solid brass hinges and screws are included with the cabinet. There is a magnetic closure on the door. Cabinet presently has no finish on it, and the wooden doors and sides are a rich red color, and very velvety to touch. I'm not sure of the exact age, but it is 1920 - 1930. I've been using it to hold my books. Asking $250.00 OBO $250.00. obo.
