I love this van. I have had 4 Caravans and they don't come close to the comfort, styling and ride. The VW suspension makes it a pleasure to drive, sorry....fun fir a van. Styling us way better than Caravan or Town and Country. I drove from Toronto to Frederiction and only filled up twice at $70/ tank. $140 for the entire trip. The 4 ltr engine runs at lower rpm's so engine doesn't have to work as hard. Can't say the same for city driving though. I had stow n go seats and for long trips they are really uncomfortable as the padding on the cushions are so thin. Routan does not have second row stow and go but man are the seats comfy. Much more cushion so much better for road trips.
It's too bad they stopped making these as I am looking to buy a new van even though mine still runs great.

I much rather ride a Volks than a dodge, call me a snob, don't care. It's been a great mini van for my family, never had a single problem.

The high quality VW interior with classy styling looks great. The van has all the practicality and space of a regular minivan, and the power sliding doors are awesome. All the seats are comfortable and the back head-restraints go high enough for adults which is a big plus. The infloor stowage space is really useful, and with the back seats down, and the mid-seats out, you have a huge space for transporting things.
The drive with the VW tuned suspension is smooth and responsive for a minivan, and the 4.0 engine is powerful and speedy.
I would definitely recommend one of these.

This is an exception vehicle. Comfortable, very good on gas. We have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of owning a Volkswagen Routan. The DVD player with the headphones allows both the people watching a movie in the back and driver and passenger in the front to listen to music, etc. simutaneously. Awesome!

I had it for 4 years no issues. very good with gas and warranty iwas for 4 years and 80000 km great option of traction control especially in snow driving

We recently purchased a used 2011 VW Routan, and are over all pleased with it. The van has a smooth, quiet ride. The interior space is huge, with tonnes of storage space. We really like the 3rd row stow 'n go seating, but wish the 2nd row was also stow 'n go. The fuel economy is average for a mini-van I suppose, we really have nothing to compare it to as this is our first mini-van. The Routan has a Chrysler engine, so I assume parts should be not as expensive as if it were a VW engine. Over all our experience with this vehicle is great, and I would definitely recommend it to people looking for a mini-van.

We love this van! It is the most comfortable van we have ever driven! It's got plenty of room on the inside, love the under floor storage. It's very quiet and I love driving it. My kids like the fact that there are sun shades on all of the back windows so when the sun is bright they can block it out a bit.

When we bought this vehicle we new exactly what we were getting. It is a Chrysler vehicle with a VW sticker. It has been good, but we cannot wait to get rid of it. Thank God for the excellent service

But this van is an enjoyable ride. Handles well in all environments. Only complaint would be a braking issue that baffled the dealership but they took care of it.

To many times spent to the dealsership for minor problems, terrible service and warranty claims with VW.
Gas guzzler, hardly under 16-17l/100kms driving very smooothly..
Two good notes, the finish inside high quality but very poor modularity from back seats, great entertainement system.
