2005 Pontiac Montana SV6

Trim: Extended

Decent car at a reasonable price
Purchased this car for my spouse with about 75,000KM on it. The car runs well - the V6 is solid. Handling is soft as you would expect. Braking is reasonable.

It is a great hauler - the extended version is a must if you are planning to use the third row of seats - and plan on having any cargo. Of note - the seats are removable and can be a bit of a pain to remove (until you get the hang of it).

Interior finish is actually a little on the cheap side. plastic pieces break easily (knobs, etc. have a tendency to fall off or break). Again - to be expected for a budget-conscious van.

Pros:
Low cost of operation
Large cabin
Solid V6 engine

Cons:
Cheap interior styling
Soft steering

2007 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

BEST USED CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED
I purchased this car 1.5 years ago. It is a Diesel and had just under 100,000 KM on it.

Other than new tires and regular oil changes - the car has needed nothing.

It drives very solidly and, with this model, you just have to get used to the Diesel noise of the engine. Great torque and reasonable on Diesel fuel... Great for long hauls (I typically get between 800-1000KM per tank). Fantastic on the highway. It can get a little noisy at speed though. You will go through tires quicker than most other vehicles - just a warning.

I love the reliability of this car. Great amenities on my model (heated seats, heated steering wheel, back-up camera (awesome for parallel parking), DVD-NAV (which is a little no-frills but fine), 6 CD changer with BOSE components (sounds great). motorized tilt-in side-view mirrors (great for getting into garage or through tight spaces).

Pros:
Reliabilty
Fuel Efficiency (for an SUV)
Comfort
Amenities
Handling

Cons:
Fast tire-wear
Cost of regular maintenance can be high
Engine noise at idle (if that's important to you)
