Toyota Tacoma 1993-2015Change

Bought my Tacoma in 2007 with 26000 km's. I use my truck in oil patch so it goes on lots of gravel, rough roads, mud, deep snow etc. It can handle it all. It is great on gas as well. It is also easy to manoever in the city. I feel safe and comfortable all the time. I have changed shocks, have had a few seals leak and one headlight burns out occasionally. For having over 251000 km's, thats pretty minor fixes. I am very happy with this vehicle. I hope the 2014 model has more head room however because my husband is 6'1 and feels crowded.

Reliable and fun to drive. Been to California and back, purchased in BC, major bodywork 5 yrs ago. Underrated power, greta for the city or country.

I have never owned a more relieable and comfortable vehicle both on and off road. If I could keep this truck forever I would, unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances I am unable to continue to pay my monthly payments.

This vehicle has never broken down, never been in an accident and has incredible fuel efficiency.

I am the second owner of this vehicle, the first owner maintained the vehicle extremely well at the dealership and I have continued to keep up with the maintenance.

I will miss this truck when it goes, but I hope it goes to a good home.

After so many testimonials about Toyotas in general and Tacomas in particular I am dissapointed with my example.
After countless trips to the dealer with at least 4 overnighters, my transmission still won't shift when the weather is -15 C and is rough at times when warmer.
The clutch master/slave cylinders failed under warranty and was not fixed properly so I got to pay after the warranty period.
Otherwise I have premature surface rusting ongoing.
Fixed under warranty was: the driver's seat belt latch, a universal joint, sticky pwr window, condensation in the roof headliner.....
Comfort > The seats are not comfortable for my wife, the center console and door armrests are too hard.
Otherwise, the vehicle is very versatile for what we need it for, it has never left us stranded, and it is very cheap to run for a truck.
I don't trust it though and want a 2nd vehicle now it is paid for as a daily driver and reserve the Tacoma for summer play and trips to the lumber yard and landfill.

Great vehicle. Has never let me down. Have driven over 110K
and only needed front brake pads,

The ride is OK. The interior is fine except for that fact that this model did not come with the option of satellite radio. Our previous Toyota models did and it was a surprise when this one did not. All in all we are happy with this vehicle.

A little too simple for gadgetry but this little pickup has awsome features that do counts when your talking about transportation. Great reliability,Awsome fuel economy, Exterior design simplicity Eventhough the price is a little more for the bells and whistles that its lacking This pickup practically pays for itself with its reliability, low maintenance and fuel economy..

I have owned my 1996 Toyota Tacoma since 1998. In that time I have put on over 120,000 MILES with multiple long distance trips from Winnipeg to Florida. The vehicle is the most reliable and solid vehicle I have ever owned and is the reason for such long ownership. Over 15 years of ownership it has cost me less than $2500 in repairs and it has only been repairs for regular wear and tear (tires, brakes, suspension). The engine turns over and starts every single time even at -40c. It is a base bare bones truck but is perfect as a day to day commuter or for a small courier.

Best Truck I've ever owned just gas basic fluids - no more domestic repair bills!! Gas saving on the RWD is amazing.

Had this truck up in northern communities. Reliable and handled very well in the winter. Mileage was excellent. Very low cost to keep maintained ( with regular home maintenance of course ) would recommend to anyone looking for a small truck

Has plenty of power, though fairly hungry for gas. Lucky to get 500 km between fills.

Replacing a 1990 Toyota Pick up and the increased size and double cab doors are nice. Lots of leg room for driver at 6'+, not so much when sitting in the rear seat. OK for a few hours, but would be less enjoyable on a cross country road trip.
Floor mats ride up under clutch which prevents sensor from sensing clutch is depressed and therefore truck wont start. Not a problem if you know it happens, but has caught a few people who borrowed the truck.

Will but one again in 10 years when this truck cracks 300,000.

I love my Tacoma. Not only is it appealing, but its very powerful for the city. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission it really puts the power down. That being said, it's a perfect truck for a young person or older person. Driven all year round - the X-Runner has never hesitated to bore me. I find it quick, I find it comfortable and I love the comments I get on it. On top of that, driving a rear-wheel drive Truck in winter - also shows that you can have style all year round, as well as have fun (I've never been stuck).

I've added custom touches to it to add to my liking and one of those is the exhaust - the note is beautiful. I've also added HID headlights/foglights and the truck looks super aggressive with the White/Yellow combination. That being said, the TRD 14 peice body kit, low aggressive stance and rims also make my Truck look so good and stand out. There's only a handful of these in Calgary! Don't miss out, I know I'll miss it.

This is the truck i want to get this year for camping!! I'm looking to get trd off road package, double cab, grey exterior Can't wait!

It's a nice 'toy' that is comfortable but not too big. It can haul a good load (trailer, camper, etc) and isn't TOO bad on gas for a truck.

Only complaint is that the entire bottom got rusted too easily and has to get a spray treatment pretty often. Some parts got entirely worn out and caused a break down or two.

Toyota once again creates a headache free vehicle.
Good on gas, smooth on the highway, nice towing capacity.
Interior is comfortable and roomy even with the jump seats at the back compared to most vehicles which can get quite cramped. Would not hesitate to recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a reliable V6 4x4.

This truck has done lots for me in towing, loading and heavy lift. I have all the paper work that has been done to this truck, it's not much. I have been hauling a 17' Bass Boat with no trouble fully loaded. It has been well maintained from the day I bought it.I do a oil change 3 times a year and I put in 10w - 30w Synthetic oil. It has 208,435 km and it is mostly Hwy miles.

i have had a Tacoma now for two years without any problems. It is a very reliable vehicle. It is excellent in the winter and i would recommend it for anyone looking for a mid sized truck that will get the job done. I have had Toyotas my whole life and they never have any problems

Has been very well maintained and it is a non smoker.Have owners manual and books that came with it new.Factory Alloy wheels with close to new Bridgestone Dueler A/T Tires.Almost new brakes front and rear

Good reliable vehicle, good mileage., comfortable with enought towing power for traiiler towing.. No breakdowns or mechanical issues.

this truck is very dependable, its great on gas about 600km to the tank, good to drive in the city and on the hwy. we are selling the truck due to expending our family.

My Toyota Tacoma is hands down the best truck I have ever owned. It is a 2 wheel drive model with a 2.7 4 liter. The ride it offers is more like a luxury car but when I need to haul or tow it handles that job with ease. I would not trade this truck for any other model. When it is time to buy again I will be looking at Tacoma.

This truck is my daily driver on weekdays and my haul anything vehicle on weekends. I can comfortably fit four adults and a child seat in it and still pack a payload in the back.

My only real criticism is the lack of heated mirrors. Why Toyota continues to leave this option of the Tacoma is beyond me. Given the Tacoma and the 4Runner use the same style mirror, it would make economic sense for Toyota to include the heated mirrors on both vehicles rather than just on the 4Runner.

Excellent, reliable, stylish, economical vehicle. Tacomas are popular for good reason. Many more miles in this vehicle.
