Great car
I love driving the car. It handles well on the roads and on the highway. It's smooth and comfortable, not bumpy. Great engine. Runs well and quiet. Good and reliable 3800 engine. No major problems with it. Only regular maintenance, break work and a power window module. AC and heat work well! It's pretty decent on gas. It's not a guzzler! Good size family car. Fits five people comfortably. I would definitely buy another Grand Prix if they still made the car.

Great Ride, reliable performs well.
Owned this car for 10 years and it's been a great reliable vehicle. Very low maintenance. Just changed oil and filters when necessary and after 100K just recently replaced bearings, brakes, and rotors and tires. Car performs well and has great pick up for a vehicle of its class.

Great looking sporty sedan
Car has 230,000 kilometers or 135,000 miles. Good performance, good handling, lots of room, good fuel economy, sporty appearance, a great highway cruiser. Bulletproof motor and transmission.
Maintenance has been normal.
Negatives are the ride, too stiff, bangs and crashes around town, muffler is very low. These are the only negatives, it is not a good town car.
Great value for money on the second hand market. Check the rear calipers, they must be serviced every year or they will seize up.
rust can appear on the rocker panels. Tranny fluid must be changed regularly.

What an awesome ride
They totally broke the mold with this car - for the money you had awesome performance, and also had a full back seat and huge trunk! This car has it all, and it has pretty good fuel economy too. Never had any issues with reliability. The engine is bulletproof!

Great Car - rare trim level, 1 of less then 100 built.
This is an amazing car, drive like a dream and plenty of go when you step on the gas. This car has been well maintained with AMSOIL in engine since day one and in tranny since first fluid change. car is still nice and tight and handles very well. Leather is in great shape, Monsoon Stereo and 6 disc in dash changer work flawlessly. The 4 star rating on fuel economy is because it takes 91 octane, other wise it is fine. Has displacement on demand system so drops 4 cyl when cruising. The 07's predate the issues the later GXPs had. 07s considered by Car & Driver to be best Grand Prix GXP built.

best car i ever had
right after i got my license i wanted a cheap reliable car i got this car off an elderly lady and it was by the far the best car i ever had. very comfortable car not the best interior but who really cares. i drove this car for 6 years and only problems i had were nosiy mufflers and exhaust. i also replaced wheel bearings a few times. me and my mother both had this car and you really get your money out of them we both made it over 325 km with the original motors in these things. the only reason i ever stopped driving someone ran into me. really makes me want to get another soon

Great car
Car is a pleasure to drive. The 3.8 L motor is one of GM's best. The weak link on these cars is the rocker panels. Mine need replacement so I will sell the car with them done or as is - you may be able to get a better price than me on getting this work done.

very reliable; smooth comfort; safe, in-control handling; powerful
very reliable car over 7 years of driving; exceptionally smooth, stable, quiet ride; excellent safe, in-control handling, easy cornering, really hugs the road, ample acceleration when needed from high-performance engine; traction control and very strong 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS provide high level of safety; seating is very comfortable and plush: tan leather heated seats with lumbar support; spacious interior; attractive interior design; streamlined exterior styling in crimson red with chrome wheels; remote engine starter wonderful on cold days; great sound system, CD player gives rich, deep sound.

Very good handling car
I have found this car to be a good handling comfortable car to drive.
It's good on gas and with the 3800 V6 is very responsive
After owning it for eleven years and with only 55663 km on it I find it still feels like a new car driving it.

2005 Pontiac Grand Prix

Pretty decent Vehicle
I bought my 2005 Grand Prix two years ago to replace my truck and for commuting to and from school about 70km from my house. Over that time, I have replace an axle seal, a wheel bearing (possibly the other side soon), plugs and wires and usual oil changes which is pretty good considering how crap vehicles are getting. The car drives smoothly the suspension handles typical roads nicely. The interior is quite comfortable as the seats are have a noticeable plushness compared to other cars. One concern I have is that the transmission shutters from first to second on moderate acceleration and slips on occasion. I asked as specialty shop and they explained to me that this particular transmission also in the grandams are common for problems and the repair cost may not be worth it depending how bad it is. The car is quite low and for older or larger occupants this may not be the best vehicle.

Super comfortable ride with the leather seats and lots of leg room. The speed showing on the windshield when driving is amazing - such an unexpected but nice perk. Seems to be well maintained and can fit the whole family and luggage without a problem!

Great First Car!!!!
This car has been been good to me. Great ride and reliable. Tons of power but I tried to drive it as easy as possible throughout my ownership of it. Kms are relatively low and mostly from city driving. I would recommend this car to any new driver looking for an easy first ride or someone just wanting to upgrade without having to pay tons of money for it. The sound system is beautiful and lets out clear sound.

Very comfortable for both city and highway
This is the second Grand Prix I have owned, they are very reliable sporty sedans that are very comfortable in both the city or on the highway. A heavier front wheel drive V6 gives this car great stability in the snow. The remote starter is great on those cold mornings or even when in a crowded parking lot to locate the vehicle. This car will carry 2 full size golf bags with still lots of room for luggage, with 60/40 fold down back seats.

For those who love to drive!
I love this car! The interior design is very attractive, and the seats are super comfortable. The 3.8L engine has plenty of power, and is reasonably fuel efficient as well. Being quite tall, I loved the widetrack feature. It gives you alot more elbow room when you have passengers along. Not to mention the stability benifits of the car being on a wider base. The sabilitrack system works very well in icy conditions as well. The rear doors open 180 degrees making it real easy to get in and out. The trunk has lots of space, plus the back seats fold down as well, giving you alot of room for storage. This car was a pleasure to drive, if you love to drive and not just get from A to B, this car is the one for you.
