Volkswagen Passat 1995-2017Change

My parents gave me this car as a gift and I still have it. I doesn't cost a lot of gasoline. It's very comfortable. What I really like with this car it's that you don't feel the speed.
I like VW, and I will stay with them.

Great car. Very comfortable. Big step up from the Jetta Gas milage good for a car of this class. Requires premium fuel. Get about 900KM on a 65l fill up.

This 2005 VW Passat is an excellent family car. The diesel motor is excellent on the highway for fuel consumption, over 1100 km on the highway and 900 in the city. This family vehicle has lots on interior leg and head room, with heat leather seats. The trunk has lots of room with folding 60/40 back seats. This vehicle is a excellent family vehicle. VW quality at its best. I would own another TDI Passat in the future.

I bought my passat, after I drove 3 expeditions. I will never go back to Ford. Driving a VW is amazing. Could not love this car more. great handling in all weather especially snow! Great on gas, I love seeing 800km to empty on the HUD.

I bought this car used from a friend about 5 months ago. It's the first car I've ever owned, and I can honestly say - after hearing a lot of horror stories about first cars - that I have absolutely no complaints about my 12 year old passat. I've really enjoyed that there is so much space to take stuff from here to there. The one downside is that I'm spending a little more than I would like on gas, but the positives much outweigh the negatives! Highly recommend the car!

I purchased this Passat 2 and a half years ago with 279000 km's on it. I thought it would be a car that I would have for about a year and then get rid of, but I was wrong. As a top of the line car for it's class, the Passat offered all the creature comforts I enjoy, with a penchant for performance. My Passat came with a 2.8L V6 with a 5 speed manual transmission, and I am not exageratting when I say this thing flies!
The car provides the driver with an excellent feel for the road with superb pick up for both achieving cruising speed and for passing. The autobahn was made for a car like this. Effortless excelleration paired with comfortable heated leather seats leads to an enjoyable trip.
For the Money, nothing compares.

i really love this car but its time for something new . Vw is awesome on gas i had so much fun with this car and i will never change to something else im getting a 2010 Wv . ones you drive this car you will be in love with it .

I have owned over 5 VW's over the last 30 years. My currently own a 2007 VW passat 3.6, 4 motion, 2000 VW passat wagon V6, and I drive my 2002 VW passat V6 in the winter. I get approximately 530 km to the tank using octane 94. It's front wheel drive, 5 sp manual and handles extremely well in the snow and slush conditions. I have had to change tire rods once and the coil packs, timing belt. I use synthetic oil, dealer maintained, never had a issue with just over 223,000km. Handles well overall, very comfortable as an everyday drive, and reliable.

Very comfortable car to drive. Was disappointed with the mileage. Max. 450 km a tank. Often have troubles with sensors. Very reliabile when I'm not having trouble with the sensors. Almost 10 years old and still no rust. Lots of leg room and trunk space.

Just got this new car and it has a smooth ride. Only 4 words it is awesome. this is a car that you can have for a very long time

When I bought this car, I had some worries about maintenance cost but after 4 years of owning it, I find its pretty easy to maintain and cost effective to own too.

From the moment I sat into this car I was in love. With soft, well built leather seats it has a very comfortable ride. The dashboard has a digital speedometer which makes setting the cruise even easier. Also I like the cruise presets. Where you can have it increase by 1 or by 10. Very effective. I also like the exterior of the car. Doesn't have the 'bubble' shape found on many new vehicles nowadays. All in all I like this car. Good job on it!

We bought this second-hand with about 250 000 kms on it and it has treated us well. The only problems we have had with it are electrical which we have heard is a common thing with Volkswagens. But we really cannot complain because it runs so well and it is a very chique car even for being 13 years old. We love our VW!

This was an alright car. Great for comfort and style but not so great on gas. Had difficulty with opening the car manually because the keyhole was hidden and also the gas tank is frustrating.

The Volkswagen Passat was a car that i, at first, thought was going to be a car that was average at best. My first ride in the car completely changed my mind as it took off and got up to 60 km/h in about 2 seconds or less. The acceleration of the car was incredible and surprising. I never thought a car like this could perform like a corvette or Audi. The interior design makes you feel like you are in a real nice luxury car. The money was not an issue at all. Roughly $18,000 for this car brand new and it feels like it should be worth $40,000. A great car for travelling, very comfortable and relaxing.

This is an absolutely amazing car in excellent condition. It has high quality performance, incomparable comfort, and is SO much fun to drive! I have driven this car on highways in the USA and have never once felt unsafe, or that the vehicle wouldn't be able to perform to its full potential. I have become a better driver from driving this car, and would recommend it to anyone.

Very reliable car. Powerful, clean sheet design, you coudln't resist her. I've been using this car for two years now and it has always been a pleasure to be behind its wheel. You may think: "well.. A german car... It must take a lot of gas". My answer is: not really, it doesn't consume much, so it's very interesting for your wallet. Last point: german quality, then you can think of keeping this car for a little while.

This has been a repliable famiy car for us for the past 10 years. It has been pleasure to drive. At over 6 feet tall I still have plenty of leg and head room. It has performed well on family trips with ample storage in the trunk. The 1.8l turbo engine has plenty of get up and go in the city or on the highway.

this car is relly realible car, verry good fuel economy, nice in the inside, heated seat, nice from the outside,

only bad is that 1.8 turbo is little bit small

Had a 2002 Passat for the last 4 years. Best car i ever owned.
Too bad repairs are quite expensive and have to let go since I can't pay the nessecary repairs.

Loved this Passat and hope my next car is again a "german" built Volkswagen.

Yes, you have to maintain it, which I did religiously. But my 2004 Passat TDI delivered in spades... with highway 400,000 km, it's just nicely broken in. My wife wants the new CC so that's where we're headed.

The car is built like a tank, yet very comfortable with a secure feeling in handling. Great mileage with diesel and highly reliable.

VW did right with this vehicle.

People are always amazed at the rear seat room and cargo capacity of this wagon; it's one of those cars that seems remarkably big inside compared to what it appears on the outside. It's a pleasure to drive with the smooth and powerful VR6 and composed handling German cars are known for.

Well i have this car for a while.. it is a really nice car and all..but once it start to break... everything is falling appart from everywhere! and since it is german car.... it is very pricy to fix! the fixing price is way too hight! so to keep only few years...

The six speed auto transmission seemed sluggish at first until I looked at the speedometer and was doing well over 120km/hr. It shifted so smooth I did not notice how fast I was going! The transmission is set up to maximize your fuel economy. You can set it to sport mode which will give you even better performance when you want it.

Comfortable to drive on long trips. Took it to Vancouver and back with the family this summer.

Large trunk space to fit all the luggage and items you need for a family trip.
I've put 18,000km on it since June and had no problems with the vehicle other than my daughter knocked out the rear door light bezel. It was fixed under warranty.
It won Car of the year for a reason. Really great vehicle for the price! Great job Volkswagon. I really recommend it.
