Hyundai Accent 1994-2019Change

I have had two Hyundai accents and have found this car to be very reliable and very good on gas. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a good city car, or a car to get you to and from work.

This is my second Hyundai Accent and both times I have had a really good experience with reliability. This is a great car for city driving and comfortable enough for long distances.

This has been an excellent vehicle for us. Has been reliable in all weather and has excellent fuel efficiency. Our teenage son outgrew the back seat so we got a bigger vehicle.

Excellent car for the city - gas mileage is great; reliable, plows thru snow great; very clean inside; well look after!

Very reliable car, great gas mileage, very low maintenance, highway driving. Selling as my husband just got a company car.

The SR specific performance parts really make the car look and drive much better than one would expect from a Hyundai Accent. I do not have to push the vehicle to enjoy being in it. It can be comfortable and quiet yet peppy and exciting. The fuel economy is not as good as one would expect from such a small vehicle, but it is still much better than most vehicles. The interior design is decent in aesthetic but the plastics mark easily.

Never had a problem with this car.
Last one I had got over 200000k on it.
Car has plenty of zip and very fuel efficient, lots of power with manual transmission.
Great ride and nice looking car.
With hatch back plenty of room for storage

This car is fantastic and well maintained. Because it has been parked it needs a tire but over all the car is in excellent condition. The only reason I'm selling is because insurance in Toronto is too expensive. Keep in mind the car has had a complete overhaul and is working perfectly. It is very good on gas seeing as it is a manual car.

I've had no trouble with this vehicle. I am moving, so I have to get rid of it which is heartbreaking. Not one problem, not one accident, and not one complaint!

Bottom of the line 2013 Accent, standard transmission. A couple of thousand cheaper than all subcompacts that I priced. Smooth comfortable ride. Roomy enough inside for me. 1st tank of gas through and mileage is better that I had hoped and what was advertised. 5.0L/100 KM was combined total on 1st tank of gas! Hope this is a sign of what will be in the future. Reliability & suitability for winter roads remains to be seen as I have only had it for a couple of weeks.

We have had this car for 6 years and have had excellent driving year round. Excellent getting around in the snow, leaves other cars behind. Economical gas mileage, minimal maintenance equals easy on the pocket book. Great graduation present!

I received this car from someone who didn't care much for it, I have replaced the engine with a super low km one, I replaced the catch at the same time, I had to replace the rear brakes completely - drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware. I repaired the nicks dings in the front bumper. So that looks new now, I replaced the ecm to correct the rad fan not working, so that works now :-) I have rejuvenated this car so I hope it goes to a good home.

This is a one owner car, and has been a terrific car to drive. The gas consumption has been amazing, the clutch plate is original, and the clutch has never been adjusted, and It still shifts gears as well as the day I bought it. The car has been well looked after both mechanically and body wise. There is some corrosion on the rear fenders, but the rest of the body is in excellent condition. The front brakes were fully done at 125,000 km's, and the rear brakes were fully replaced 2 months ago. The tires were replaced about 30,000 km's ago and are 80,000 km tires and in excellent shape. My guess is the car isn't even at the 1/2 way point of it's life expectancy. All around, just an awesome car to drive. The only reason this car is up for sale is that I have health problems and don't feel I should be driving anymore. It's just becoming too difficult for me to drive now and I just feel that I should quit driving before I just can't anymore.

Have loved having the Hyundai Accent. Especially in the city - but surprisingly - it's pretty great on the highway too (which I didn't expect!) In the 2010 there is an "overdrive" button which allows the car to pick up speed to either merge onto the highway or it's specifically amazing help driving in the mountains. Once I learned it was there - made a big difference - really love driving hills now!

Overall, am very impressed with the Hyundai Accent. I know others who own cars that are supposed to have high approval ratings (Honda, Toyota etc.) who haven't enjoyed their cars as much as I've enjoyed the Accent. So I'd recommend it as a great car. And the gas economy is really good as well.

This has been and still is a phenomenal car, very reliable since the first day I got her brand new. She drives even better than the 1st day I got it. I wish I didn't have to sell the "blackdragon" but me and my wife have a baby on the way and we need a bigger car.

The Accent SR came with a factory body trim kit, chrome exhaust tip, custom air intake, alloy wheels, carbon fiber dash inserts, Clarion sounds system: deck, Subwoofer & Amplifier enclosed in custom box and sport suspension. So don't be fooled by imitators...this is the real deal! A very reliable, fuel efficient, fast and sporty looking & sounding car that will turn heads .

The car has been washed regularly and waxed professionally once a year in the spring. Filled up with Premium 93 octane fuel only. Never been smoked in or had drinks/food spilled in! Garage stored only! Mostly highway driven to work and back (75% highway, 25% city) I have taken care of this car like my baby! :)

I have owned this car sice I purchased it new off the car dealer lot. It is a standard gear, 2 door hatchback. The ability to knock down the back seats, either both or split, give me a lot of room to carry a lot of things, including smaller bits of furniture, I can also even make the back seat/hatchback area totally flat by pulling up the back lower seat as well..
I| have the GT sport, with wider tires. The car hugs hte road, corners beautifully, no drifting, and allows me to enjoy the speed I like on the open road, but still drive safely through the winding mountain roads.

First off, this car was my Dad's car since 2007 when he drove it off the lot. He has since upgraded to a 2012 Elantra Limited. I learned to drive in this car, and in all the years I have driven it, I have no complaints whatsoever. It's an easy, fun to drive, economical vehicle to own.

In all the years that we've had it, and in the last year and a bit that it has truly been "mine", there has been no mechanical issues at all whatsoever with the car. I just replaced my tires for the summer (normal wear and tear) and I need a bulb to replace my burnt out fog light. After 110 000km, THAT'S IT! Gas mileage has been good as well, I don't cringe when I look at the gas pump ($40/week). After 110 000km it still runs and drives like it were a brand new car. Starting my post secondary education in the fall, it will be my daily driver to and from school; with it's sporty handling, great looks and comfortable interior, the 100km/day commute is going to be a blast! The sport package definitely gives the car some added character.

If you are looking for a reliable, economical, good looking car, look no further than the Hyundai Accent! If you can find a Sport model hatchback with the sunroof, alloys and sportier handling, even better! You will not be dissappointed!

I purchased new the hyundai accent first because of the price back in 2001. My expectation for this car was to be able to get 5 to 7 years of good reliable performance. Now in 2013 my accent has exceeded my expectation needless to say. It is very reliable in any weather, and I plan to keep this car for the next little while simply because it stills run very well. I am very satisfied overall as I got more for my money then I expected out of this car.

This car has been beautiful to drive. I love the steering wheel access buttons for the radio and bluetooth dialing. I also love that the heated seats have a high and low setting (older cars seats get way too hot!). What I don't 100% love though is that my fuel economy is only as advertised when I drive in steptronic, sometimes I just want to drive automatic, but the car turns into a gas guzzler then.

We bought this car used, have had nothing but great things to say. Great fuel economy, handles well. Roomy interior. Hadnt needed anything but regular tune ups, oil hanges, and brake changes. Handles well on the highway. Not a lot to fill it up with gas prices these days
