Very good handling and stable in all conditions. Comfortable and roomy - the heated seats are excellent in the winter!

Solid ride and excellent handling on snow. Quiet and smooth at high speeds on the highway. However, this is not the right car for me after all.

This car has been great! I wish I didn't have to sell it. It's the most fun-to-drive car I've ever owned. Super fast and reliable. the symmetrical all wheel drive is unstoppable in the snow and confidence inspiring in the rain. These cars are sought after and have a huge fan base and many internet forums dedicated to their incredible performance.

just bought my first subaru and i am really liking it. it is a manual transmission and a bit slow on the acceleration to pass in 5th gear. other than that, i am really enjoying it. i live in an area of BC that gets quite a bit of snow and that subaru legacy gt really handles well and stays on the road.
i bought it used from a subaru dealership and i am really impressed with their customer service. polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable.
i have heard that subaru's have fully covered exhaust systems and i believe mine has developed a small rattle. i am sure this is easily fixed. :)

Car has been fantastic, I bought the car with 18,000 KM on it from the Subaru dealership. AWD very safe new ties and new brakes...timing belt was done in 2009.

Drives smoothly everywhere! Great for trips! Have had it for several years and never had a problem! I'm a stickler for maintenance and you will save indefinitely. Would love to have the same car for my next car!

This Subaru has a terrific handling, comfortable, reliable, never breaks down, low cost in maintenance.

its got comfortrable seats nice sized cup holders and while i am not crazy about the locks it can seat majority of my famliy.
i love the silver color and the fact that i must physically roll down the windows.

We usually drove Crossover type vehicles because we always had to haul gear to trade shows, but when our display changed, we decided we could look at small station wagons as then we would have a bit more storage space in the garage.
We also looked at the equivalent Volkswagen and Saab wagons, but this car didn't require Premium gas, had symetrical AWD, and cost $10 G's less!
We originally leased it for 4 years, and when the lease was up, we didn't even question purchasing the car.
We use all season tires in the summer, and put on snow tires in the winter. The snow tires make the car a real dream to drive in snowy and icy conditions.
The 'Boxer' engine gives the front of the car a low profile and a low center of gravity so you don't get the upper body roll on tight turns.
Pickup on the highway is excellent, and it will cruise along at 125 km/h for hours no problem.
There is plenty of leg room for the driver and front passenger, and I've heard no complaints from anyone sitting in the back seats (I'm 6' 1" and have the seat completely back as far as it will go). Also, it is nice to step out of a car after driving for 3 hours straight without having to "unfold my body"; I don't feel like I've been sitting for 3 hours........

I bought my 2002 outback in 2005, with 100,000 km on the clock. It ran well for the first 5 years, only standard maintenance costs*. In the past two years its age has begun to tell: front-end suspension problems (partly due to rough cottage roads and potholes) and a cracked cylinder head were the chief issues. Overall, a very comfortable and mostly dependable ride. Gas mileage is not great, but it`s better on the highway.

* Subaru`s brakes tend to need more-than-average servicing, in my opinion.
