This month’s feature boat, White Cap, is a Northwest classic in every sense. Designed by Ed Monk and launched in 1967, she was conceived with regional NW cruising in mind. She is 44 feet in length, laid out with two V-berths forward, a salon, galley, and pilothouse in the main cabin, and a master stateroom aft. White Cap has been in the same family (owners of a well-known boat manufacturing firm) for over 20 years, and very thoroughly maintained. White Cap cruises at nine knots, with her 225-hp Cummins diesel burning less than four gph. We found White Cap among the listings at Everett Yacht Sales, where she is offered for $94,500. A budding marine photographer, Jerry Brown, has provided us with a series of photos. We will let the pictures and the captions tell the story of this unusually pristine vessel, and wish Mr. Brown all the best as he pursues his dream.
