Love the look of the car, dark tinted windows are awesome and the sunroof in the summer is amazing! This car was my very first one to own and has been with me for 3 years. I have everything I have ever wanted in a car included in this one. The ride is amazing when you drive fast because it feels like you are on a cloud because the ride is so smooth! The seats are comfy and support well for long rides. The room in the back isn’t that spacious but it works well for me and I use it to transport all of my stuff where ever I need it.

I couldn't have been happier with my Golf - it was my first car and it has been so much fun to drive and super reliable over the years. It packs an incredible amount of stuff with its hatchback and folding seats and the stereo still sounds great! I will be sad to see my little car go but with our expanding family it's time to join the legions of SUVs...

Unlike japanese car (same category) interiour feels upscale, quality.
2.5 l engine gives more than enough power.
Styling is just right, not too avangarde or not too plain.

I've had this car for 9 years now and love it! super reliable, great on gas and a blast to drive! This is my third VW and I would have a tough time driving anything else...

This car is great! I do a lot of driving and the fuel mileage is great.
I won a diesel model and it was worth the extra money to get it. The interior design is very nice, it has a great sound system without spending more money for fancy speakers. It is a compact car so it can get a little squishy in the back but it isn't terrible. I would recommend this car to anyone who does a lot of driving or anyone that wants a great ride.

VW in general has been designing cars with style and what bothers me is when they change the good thing into a crazy design. If you look at 2011 VW Golf Sportline its an absolute beauty inside and out. The interior, the colors and materials used shows they are proud to show the car. There isn't a single car I have seen so far that GOLF 2011 offers. Technology offered inside is also great but they need to lower the price. Performance and sound of the engine, quiet ride ( sound proofing improved in MK6) Love this car all the way.

I always found it hard to review major fault with any of the 3 VW's I've owned. They are reliable, of course this means servicing the vehicle to specifications and changing the oil every 6 - 8K KMs.

Mine is a 2 litre standard 5 door hatchback. My 75 lb dog sits happily in the back, with the shelf out, and she has plenty enough space for longer journeys.

Fuel efficiency is good enough for this size vehicle. I'd get 650 KM's from a 50 litre tank on the hwy and about 550 KM's semi urban driving.

My biggest problem with any VW has been the window wiper system. It's always noisy and I can never find 2 winter grade blades which fit well together. They always catch on each other which causes them to jump on the window shield.

But if this is the biggest thing I have to complain about, you can tell I'm a happy VW owner.

I purchased this car used from a dealer. It was traded in after only 4 months so I got a good price - saved $5000 over buying brand new. It is fun to drive and very responsive. The interior is well designed with good quality materials. The navigation, bluetooth etc are easy to use. I did not purchase the diesel and I am very disappointed with the fuel economy. I get 10km per 100 litres. The car has 6000 kms on it so its still being broken in and it is winter but I could have gotten a larger vehicle with all wheel drive and still gotten the same kind of fuel economy. I have also read a few reviews (Lemonaid) that say the car will become very expensive to maintain once it is 5 years old. I am planning to sell after 2 years and get a Hyundai Tucson which has the same fuel consumption but much more space and a better record for reliability.

I have had this car for little over a year now, and I must say it is the best car I have ever driven. It was originally my mothers, but when she moved back to England, she gave me it to keep. And it may be the best car I have ever driven. Its smaller than other cars, but it has an amazing design rather unique, compared to other cars. And it handles well on all terrains. I would definetely recommend this to anyone needing a new car.

Fun to drive, able to pull a trailer, and stuff the trunk/backseat with just about anything. 10k/L on average. Not built for tall people, Child seat is easy to install, but have to lean front seat way forward. Repair cost is above average.

I love my City Golf BUT, unless you're loaded/have money to spare, once the warranty is over, you can not take it to the dealer because they will charge you through the nose. i.e. $120 to change 1 headlight blub....INSANE! Why didn't I do it myself you ask? Because you have to take off the bumper to change the driver side headlight, I know...NONSENSE!

The diesel engine coupled with the 5 speed manual gives great fuel economy, decent torque gives ample acceleration. Rear brake pads and rotors wear out first, and with no squealer to warn the owner. Great buy for someone who does a lot of mileage, but one must consider the higher price and the cost of diesel vs. gasoline

I love my car.

Accept its only 5 years old with 64,000 clicks on it and already I have to replace rotators and numerous headlights, as well as the stereo speakers have malfunctioned on the left side.

fix the electrical system in your vehicles. I have always owned VW's and this is always a problem, new or old model.

It's was the first time that I use a Golf. After a big run with my friend in quebec, I was very surprise of the rentability of this car. You know, i am a dad and its very difficult to me to match economy and epic vacation. But, whit the golf. it was the first time that I use less tant 8 L for 100 km. After this experience, i will recommand to all my family and my friend a golf because its more easy to use. Also, if you compared it to the other type of car, this car is more rentabled.

Lots of space but the auto doesnt have much power. some weird electronic things happen, door sensors, heated seats.

The volkswagen golf or any model for that matter is a very good car, the only problem i have ever heard about volkswagen is that is a part on the car breaks or needs to be replaced it cost an arm and a leg to get a new replacment. other then that great car and really good on gas.

I have had this car for 12 years...owned 9 other cars...its making me cry to watch the years go by...she's still a gem...best comfort and reliability ever...would DEFINITELY buy a VW Golf again!

i love this car. it is very reliable and very cheap on gas. i have owned only hondas in the past but have always been in the market for a VW. will never go back. will only buy VWs from now on.

handles well has a great interior and drives smooth, it is overall an excellent car and i reccemend it to anybody who wants a relyable car. the oil changes are quite expensive though because it only takes full synthetic oil

I've owned this car for nearly 3 days. Every morning when I get in the car and fire up the engine it puts a smile on my face. The Golf TDI is an extremely smooth ride with a suspension that is just sporty enough, with corners handled masterfully. While the TDI is not a particularly fast engine, acceleration feels perky due to the gobs of torque. Of course, the best feature of this car is the fuel economy; I average 5.0L/100km in the summer about about 5.6L/100km in the winter -- incredible!

its the best car i have ever owned. if i get a new one it will be the same make and model because i just love the style so much

great little car for driving around the city and on the highway but with the sport package long distances are uncomfortable. The suspension is too hard and after about two hours the seats start hurting your back. Overall good car with good mileage average about 5.8L/100km

It has always worked even in the cold. Never gets too cold to start. Great gas mileage and lots of room in the trunk.

I've had two VW cars thus far, Jetta and Golf. Both great cars and reasonably priced compared to other European makes. Both I feel have a refined feel when driving. Interior is decent, nothing flashy but comfortable. I love the European look, and compactness of both cars. Only complaint is electrical issues that VW have

I've had 3 Golfs over the years and am always impressed by the reliability, practicality and styling. I have always felt that the fit and finish is superior in any trim of Golf compared to its domestic and Japanese competitors.
