THIS GOLF HAS SERVED AS MY WIFES PERSONAL CAR FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS WE WERE MARRIED, THEN BECAME OUR FAMILY CAR WITH TWO LITTLE TODDLERS. WITH ALL 4 OF US, AND TWO CAR SEATS THE HATCH STILL PROVIDES AMPLE ROOM FOR A WEEKLONG CAMPING TRIP!

Love this car - it's been a workhorse for me, always taking me where I needed to go without protest. Always started in winter and has never left me stranded. It's time for me to move on, but I'm still a bit sad to see it go.

It's getting older and needs a bit of work to be perfect again, but I'm confident it has lots of life left in it and will be a great little car for someone.

Nothing beats a Golf for a commuter car! Great on fuel and lasts a long time since the engine is simple in mechanical terms! Love this car and will probably buy a nother Golf only if Built in Germany!

Amazing fuel economy and reliability! Well worth the asking prices on most of these ads! Lower the mileage the better! Look for something less than 150,000 kms for the best reliability with the 2.0 L engine. Love this Golf and will keep on loving it! Great buy!

Great gas mileage! Cheap on insurance and great reliability! Make sure the mileage on the car is LESS than 300,000 kms as the engine may have to be rebuilt or replaced!

I have had a good couple of years with this car. always dependable and high performing. I recommend golf to anyone with basic needs.

I had a great experience with this Golf! From entering university to my second stage in my career, it has done everything I asked it to. Most reliable Golf Volkswagen has done in years.

Great for someone who is looking for their first car or someone who drives alot as it is very economical on gas.

This car drives great, handles well in the winter and is very clean too. Heated seats are fantastic in the winter. It has a new radio with MP3, USB and bluetooth. It sounds great. For all the time that ive owned it, it has run great because almost everything is new in the car. I had to change alot when i bought it.

Got this car as a car to share between my brother and I. Before i sound snotty, I have to say we test drove a lot of other options, (Cheaper, More miles). I wish we had chosen a different one. I don't know if we got a lemon, or just all golf's are bad. The trim fell off, the locks stopped working, the engine needed repair within a year of owning. The hatch lock just doesn't work. The fold down seats in the back stopped working. Pieces in the center counsel fell or broke off. I am 6"4 and DO not fit in the backseats... front seats are extremely uncomfortable. Fuel consumption isn't even that impressive, I don't see much difference compared to our moms SUV in regards to fuel economy. The engine seems to have a lawnmower engine in it. The car is horrible in the winter, I do not recommend this car to anyone, if you`re looking for a small cheap car...stick to a Civic or Corolla. Only Pro would be the trunk space which is pretty impressive, other then that...worst car.

This has been a great car, very reliable and fun to drive, especially with manual transmission. It looks good to boot! I have to sell mine as we bought a truck but I will miss my little golf. I'm now driving a VW Jetta TDI which is also a nice car to drive.

Fun to drive, lots of low end torque, there is nothing about this car I do not like.

I have absolutely loved this car! Great in the city and on the highway, the navigation system and Bluetooth connectivity have made it the best car ever. With the hatch back and the seats that fully fold down great for taking lots to the cottage.

Enjoyed driving this car. Has excellent fuel economy. The only draw back is its size. Getting in and out of it requires me as a small person to shove back the seat. Husband appreciated that as he can hardly get in when the seat is where I need it to drive.

Commuting car and didn't want to spend to much but wanted an enjoyable/comfortable ride with high safety ratings and this hit all marks and has met/exceeded our expectations. Love the styling, and it drive really nice, especially in sport mode (triptonic).

A good vehicle, but it is old, I've had this car for several years with just a few normal problems. It works well enough. It has a little bit of rust on the body ( it is old), and a small crack on the wind shield about 6 cm S shape.

I drove this car for about 3 years and will miss it. The reason I am selling is because of new employment in which I don't need it. This car has only been taken care of at Westside Automotive, so they have the entire maintenance history.

What a phenomenal car! My husband and I have put over 100,000kms on our TDI Golf and we just love it! The fuel economy is amazing (yes, we have gone 1000kms on one tank!) and we love the torque that the diesel engine gives us. The interior is fantastic - it is built with the highest quality materials and you can tell it has that European touch - everything feels nice, sounds nice and works perfectly. The space allocation is also outstanding! We have managed to fit 4 people, 1 dog and enough luggage for a 3 week trip in this vehicle which is outstanding. It has more leg room in the back seat than most SUVs. We haven't had any problems with it and we get so many complements on this vehicle we just love it!

I purchased this car used, so far I have put 30000 kilometers on it with no problems what so ever. It never gets boring. It looks small and some times big. The interior and the gauges are a joy for long rides and you don't even have to stop at gas stations on road trips which adds up to the confidence. My favorite part is absolutely the torque, its a diesel thing and its just massive and is all there whenever you touch the pedal. The DSG is too good to be true and it helps the driver so much when braking that sometimes I let go of it even when going downhill, if you start braking downhill, it will downshift automatically to tell you how much it loves you. The steering is one of those features that will either make the customer fall in love or hate the car and the Golf TDI steering is as German as it gets, compare it to a Honda then to a BMW and you will get what I mean.

This car is an absolute work of art. Its an affordable VW diesel that sneaks and blends in with gasoline and hybrid cars on the road, only to pass them by, quietly and without any diesel smell, not on the outside, or the inside.

If only this car had all-wheel drive.

I now decided to explore more cars so I'm selling this baby and going for a 2008 Golf R32 for this season but I intend to go back to diesel eventually, its just unique in its own way.

You did a fantastic job VW like you always do. Science and innovation and sales domination at its finest.

Ottawa to Toronto and back on 1 tank of gas. Very comfortable car. The turbo gives it that passing power you need on the highway.

I have nothing bad to say about this car. I wish I could keep it and drive it until it doesn't drive anymore, however, due to an upcoming move, it is time to downsize and prepare for the inevitable.

It is one of the sturdiest cars I have ever owned. If you have not sat in a Golf and heard the sound it makes when you close the door, you have been missing out.

Have no complaints about this car.

If maintained regularly, there should be no issues.

Not the fastest car in the world, but it has great capacity with the hatchback and the best fuel economy one could ask for!

LOVE the TDI diesel Golf. These are made in Germany which means extremely tight engineering compared to the Jetta's which are made in Mexico.
Back seat is comfortable with lots of space.
6 gears - great sound, quiet ride

I had my Golf for nearly 2 years and had nothing but problems. It was completely gutless going up hills and broke down on me constantly. The repairs were always so expensive and some shops wouldn't even touch it because they are not the easiest cars to fix. When it was running good it was a great little car to drive around town in and the shifty was SO EASY! This would be a great car for young people who have an interest in automotive repair but I would not recommend this vehicle if you're looking for reliability...

This car is fun to drive, comfortable even for tall people, sporty looking, has many safety features, hatchback is great and it's high quality overall.
