Toyota 4Runner 1987-2016Change

I owned many cars but, this is simply the best. I usully drive it in the city and the performance is great, acceleration is exactly what I need. The design is one of the best, this is a car of my dreams, since I purchased the car I never visited any garage. Perfect Car.

Nice for 4x4 ing but not for everyday city driving

While the market has changed to favor softer, more family-oriented crossover designs, the Toyota 4Runner has been standing its ground. it will go 800 km on a tank of gas and you don't have to stop and stretch in between because it is very comfortable

Among go-anywhere traditional SUVs, the 2010 Toyota 4Runner is a top choice. However, those looking for more passenger space and who don't require much in the way of off-road capability may want to consider a car-based crossover SUV instead.

Pros

Strong V6, outstanding off-road capability, pleasant on-road demeanor, ample cargo capacity, available third-row seat.

Cramped third-row accommodations, no V8 option, weak and inefficient base four-cylinder.

Well my 4runner was a older model a late 80's so my opinion might be a little biased. But it had poor fuel economy, wasn't to nice on the eyes. But I will say this i got 400,000km out of this vechicle so it was worth the money in that matter!
Toyata is definetly a brand worth looking into. You should also look at Nissan and Honda. Thanks!

my toyota 4 runner is the best investment i ever made.this vehicle has been through the mud snow ice and rain and never left me stranded.i would recommend this vehilce to everyone,i love toyota and i feel there is no better made vehicle out there.

We have owned two different 4Runners since 1994 when we started having kids. A very reliable, safe, solid vehicle and one we had total confidence in during many road trips. When the kids were old enough they learned how to drive on this vehicle.

Over 230,000 kms and still drives and handles like new, no annoying squeaks and rattles. Handles great in the snow. would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Bought it new at about 1998, and still using it today. Never had any engine or maintenance issues. Sturdy, stable, and solid.

Although it is a gas guzzler, love the vehicle for being versatile, like having a truck but more seating space. Great highway traveller and looks very sharp. interior is not wearing well though, plastic starts breaking over time. lots of space for stuff, not too complicated to lower the seats. Has a roof rack which is also helpful.

I love this car - interior fits driver well, love how it handles the snow. I feel safe in it and have had no major problems with this used older vehicle.

love my four runner, the seats fit well, seat belts too. Steering wheel is not hitting my legs like in a lot of American vehicles because I have to pull my seat forward. All panels, switches are in a great position for driver.

Fun to drive, switch between 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive to better fuel economy. 5 speed transmission shifts very smoothly.

This Toyota 4Runner has taken us to all parts of the province safely, even in bad weather. Whenever I encounter snow or even heavy rainfall, I just put the truck in 4 wheel drive and relax, knowing that my dependable 4Runner will get me to where I'm going without fail. Great clearance too, for those heavy snow days or muddy off-road trails.

If you want to drive 10000000000000 km with any car, this may not be the best choice. The inside of it is very comfortable and the engine sounds clean.

Love my little 4runner. the 22re engine gets good millage. it has great ground clearance. easy to work on and parts are mostly reasonably priced. have enjoyed learning to 4x4 in this little truck.

I have loved my 4runner since the day I got it. Over 300k on it now. Awesome ground clearance. Gets pretty good millage with the 22re in it. I'm not a hardcore off roader nor very experienced and it has been great to learn on. nice little truck to drive.

My second 4Runner and like my first, it is everything I expected. Reliable, tough and no major issues at all. Still takes regular gas in my V6. Great in snow and off road as I do a lot of fishing and camping. Have second set of alloys with snows. 160K now so 200K should be easy to reach. Let see how far I can go for.

The nothing has gone wrong had it for a few years now couldnt ask for anything better. Have gone about 90000 km works good in hot cold handles well in the winter makes bumps feel smooth

I had wanted a RAV4 from the time they first were on the market, but could not afford one. When the time came I got a used RAV4 year 2000, and I LOVE it!

Handles like a dream on curves and hills. Best mileage I have had on a car and this is not even a hybrid. It is a zippy little car that is good on dry roads and great in the snow too. I've made it to work in my car when others were stranded at home in theirs on snowy days.

Lots of room for baggage, etc. AND BONUS, it fits in small car parking spaces.

I hope to have this car for the rest of my life. (My last Toyota went over 300,000 miles before I traded it in, so I have reason to expect this car will be a keeper for a long time.

Great 4WD for women who don't want an overpriced SUV that guzzles gas. This is a good priced vehicle, reliable and enjoyable, and does not guzzle gas.

saved my life on an icy road. one winter night i was riding alone with my puppy and we hit a patch of black ice the jeep was so reliable i thought we were going to flip if i had been in my chreokee i would have flipped for sure so i was glad to be in the 4 runner besides my puppy loves it too

Its been a very reliable car, we have taken it all the way from Victoria BC to Toronto Ontario and back without any problems, it a comfortable ride with a decent interior and is a stick shift. Its not very fuel efficient but compared to most 4 runners today its good on gas. we have had it for 20 year now and never had any problems with it. I love this car and i don't really think I'm ever going to get rid of it. I will love it forever!
